Born out of a shared passion for self expression and individuality Triumph Brooklyn and Helmade have teamed up to offer the world's first in-store bespoke motorcycle helmet experience. Located in Williamsburg, Triumph Brooklyn opened shop in June of 2018 as NYC's one and only Triumph Motorcycle dealership. Riding a motorcycle in New York City takes a certain kind of crazy, so their customers aren't typically the "Average Joe". Wanting to offer their customers a way to stand out from the crowd, they contacted Helmade.

Founded in 2015, Helmade has single-handedly revolutionized the custom motorsport helmet experience from their design studio in Frankfurt, Germany. They have developed the world's only online 3D helmet design tool so that you can create a unique, personalized, handcrafted product, that is designed by you. For Helmade a white helmet is a missed opportunity. Everywhere a helmet protects you, Helmade truly believe there’s an opportunity to stand out from the crowd and to express who you are. What makes a Helmade product so different from other helmets you can buy, is the handmade process behind it. Each and every Helmade product is hand painted, which is something only truly appreciated when you hold one in your hands.

Looking to bridge the gap from e-commerce to customer, Bryan Grimes from Triumph Brooklyn and Christian Möhring from Helmade, put their heads together and decided to bring this concept to New York City. They are both sneakerheads and were particularly inspired by Nike's bespoke sneaker program at 21 Mercer. At Triumph Brooklyn, customers will be able to be fitted for a helmet and then embark on their design journey, choosing from a wide selection of exclusive designs as well as a custom color palette to match their new Triumph motorcycle. They can even add their name to it. Once this one-of-a-kind design is complete, it is transmitted to Helmade, where the helmet will be carefully painted to the customers exact specifications and then shipped back to the store for pick-up 4 weeks later.

Look for this first of it's kind collaboration to arrive at Triumph Brooklyn on April 20th.
